Feature Friday: Beach House Life

I love Instagram!

I have been able to connect with so many like minded, house and interior loving people who are inspiring, creative and talented via Instagram. Donna, an Interior Designer who you may have already met via her Instagram account beachhouse_life is one of those.

I love Donna's relaxed, homely coastal home and had been admiring her Instagram posts for awhile. I asked Donna if she would be so kind to share her home with you all and was so chuffed when Donna agreed to let us take a tour of her Gold Coast home as part of Feature Friday.

Lets take a look inside this gorgeous coastal home shall we and learn a little bit more about the lovely Donna.

Feature Friday: A French Scandi Beach House

Its the sort of house you would want to be invited over, for a backyard BBQ or just a cup of tea.

Why?

Because you would want to wander the rooms, admiring the pendant lights, the trinkets, the nooks in each room filled with hats and treasures. Agree!?
The chaos in the kitchen intrigues me, its like perfectly styled mess and I imagine myself in there baking a batch of scones and sharing a cup of tea with a friend. It looks homely.
I came across this home here and the website featuring the home is French and I couldn't figure out how to translate it. It sort of adds to the excitement, all I know is that it is on the south west coast of France and that I love its relaxed scandi beach house style.

I am hooked! Let's take the Feature Friday house tour...

Feature Friday:The power of Paint & Natural Light

The power of paint and natural light.

I am truly blown away by this before & after home reveal I came across this week via Amber Interiors, a Californian Interior Designer.

A dark and dated space has been transformed into a light, breezy and welcoming home. I think you are going to love it.

Feature Friday: Awarded House Of The Year!

This home is called Planchonella House - immersed in the luscious rainforest in far north Queensland, this home is something special. It has been architecturally designed to embrace its tropical climate and natural environment. The architect designed a home that enabled the owners to live simply in the landscape. I think they nailed it.

The home is made up of two concrete slabs that bend and twist in response to the topography of the site (wow!) and is a L shape construction. The house has two wings, one for the master bedroom suite and the other wing is for guests, and features a study and laundry. The two wings are joined by large and expansive living spaces with full length glass windows and views of the world heritage listed rainforest.

The home won the 2015 Houses Award - being crowned the House Of The Year. If you pop by Glamour Coastal Living each week you would know that I love my weekly Feature Friday home tour. Today, I thought we could step inside this masterpiece and be wowed.

Lets take a tour inside shall we?

Feature Friday: Take me to Florida!

What caught my eye when I came across this home was the monochrome tones, teamed with accents of gold and colour. I thought it had personality and style and was interested to see who the home belonged to.

It belongs to Beth Aschenbach - one half of the sister duo behind Palm Beach Lately. A Florida based passionate blog which scouts the latest trends in fashion, home, events and travels.

Being Feature Friday, I thought I would share it with you all - who doesn't love some home eye candy on a Friday morning? You need something to get you through the day until wine o'clock!

Feature Friday: Australia's Most Expensive Street

I am back again this week with another amazing Feature Friday home.
You all loved Yvette's home last week from The Stylist Splash - so I thought this week I would show you something a little 'wow' once more!

I came across an article this week which named the Australia's streets that had the highest number of million dollar homes. The winning street, is a winding one that starts near Bondi Beach and has properties that have recently jumped in price more than $300,000 in a year. The suburb is Dover heights and its called Military Road - have you heard of it? The median price of a home in Dover Heights is $2.6 million dollars.

I had to do some investigating for myself, I wanted to see these million dollar houses and what all the fuss was about. I came across this...

One house that makes the street famous is the 'Butterfly House' which recently sold for 5.97 million dollars. Lets take a look and see what's inside...

Feature Friday: A boho tribal nursery look

With the news of the royal baby and a name announcement, there is lots of baby talk in the air at the moment!
What do you think of the little Princess' name? Personally, I have always loved the name Charlotte so I adore it. I love the sentiment of having Diana's name too, lets hope her legacy continues to live on.

So now we are talking babies, lets jump straight into nursery ideas. Could you imagine the nursery of the royal baby? I am imagining soft pastel pinks, white and maybe a touch of gold? Today though we are going for a very on trend look.  Personally, I am loving the boho tribal look for a little boy. It says to me...

outdoorsy, adventure, creative, imagination, whimsical, dreamy

It is Feature Friday today and we are taking inspiration today from The Block's Dale & Sophie and the nursery they created for their new bundle of joy baby Van Vine.

Lets take a look shall we...

Feature Friday: My Living Area

It is Feature Friday once again, but instead of featuring someones else's house today we ares stepping right into mine. We bought our house a little over two years ago now. We have basically gutted it, new floors, paint, tiles, kitchen. bathroom, roof and landscaping. We have been very busy! We have refreshed the house and made it a home but now just needed to style it and make it feel a little more 'us' (that is me & Hubby).

You may have heard me going on about getting a new lounge and wanting to redo my living room recently? You can catch up on all the lounge chit chat here, here + here.

Well here it is. the new lounge, charcoal in colour, fabric and what I call a 'his and hers lounge' as it had adjustable headrests and armrests.

Today I wanted for you to step inside my living area and see the what I have been working on...
